https://scoutbook.com/

Scoutbook is amazing.  It is full of resources for scouts and leaders and is free for an individual scout or leader.  It is also an inexpensive tool for pack and troop record keeping.  It is a helpful and useful tool for anyone.  If you have an interest in things scouts do, this is for you.  Let me know if BSA registration becomes required.  I believe it is not a requirement, although BSA has just acquired Scoutbook and it is now an official part of the program.  Any scout, adult leader, or interested parent can get much satisfaction from this app.

Share this with others.  It may re-awaken their scout spirit.

Youth Protection Training

Youth Protection Training

Everyone should have the best interest of our youth.  Among the tools to encourage safety and
responsibility is the Youth Protection Training of the Boy Scouts of America.  These safeguards are designed to help us realize that we can help maintain the teaching of our youth is done in a safe environment.  You can take YPT and should if you have any calling working with youth.  Go to myscouting.org and select Youth Protection Training.  Sign up for access to the other resources.

Our council is theTidewater Council.   By selecting the council you can be prepared if asked to help with the scouting program.

The church has continued to endorse scouting.  We need trained leaders in all parts of the program.  Service can be given on the district and council level as well as in the troop and pack.  We especially ask our Eagle Scouts to identify themselves and continue to give back to the program.  We have many boys who need a mentor to assist them as they progress toward this esteemed award.

Today, more than ever, we need men and women of virtue and integrity to step forward and lead our youth into the next generation.  Many opportunities for Christ like service are found in "a good turn daily".

Help us "Be Prepared" and. remember, our youth today are our leaders of tomorrow.

Yours in Scouting
